Leaping into time

2nd week of February....done

Time passes so fast these days..especially when you are planting grapes officially. I will be back in Malaysia in no time soon.

Moonta-Innes

Today will depart for Moonta, we've booked a holiday house for 2 nights. Will be tripping down the Yorke peninsular tomorrow and enjoying the whole day at Moonta on Sunday.

Kangaroo Island 3

One the best places I've been in SA is Kangaroo island....coz I've been there twice. The amazing ferry trip is a bonus. Apparently the ferry fares is cheaper.Hmm..will this plan be bullet proof?

Like they say..three time is the charm

Beaches

Yesterday

Yesterday was pamphlet folding day!!!! Being a good multitasker I folded between 12pm to 430pm until Ikhwan called me to go to the beach. What the heck. Off we go.....

Grange Beach

Nice beach. Shallow and the waterwas war. Finally got to see Arsyad frolicking....hahaha. The water was warm and the sky as any summer sky was azure blue with wisps of clouds at the horizon.

Swimming in the sea was tiring and slept at around 10pm...woke up at 130am due to the intense nigh heat(31 degrees!)..drove to Norwood and god know how I managed to deliver junk mail to 700 mailboxes in three hours. A record.

Today

Woke up at 1pm!!!! Slept at Norwood coz was too tired from the morning delivery. Went to Maple...home sweet home. Paid for the apartment at Moonta with Ikhwan's debit card. Again...I was invited to go to the beach with Amza and some of his friends.Off we go to West Beach at 6pm.Tawakkala rrived 1 hour too early...pity him.

West Beach 2nd visit

Nothing fancy.WE just hit the waves..just the three of us ..the other don't know...to shy to swim I guess.. what's the point coming to a gorgeous beach on a sunny day if you don't swim. the watre was also war. I prefer the West beach as the water is deeper than in Grange Beach which makes sense why the sailing guys launch their boats from West Beach rather than the beaches further North,

After 1 hour or so, packed up, walked along the beach to see some SA scouths beach fishing. From afar they crowding together and we thought there was either a beached whale/dolphin or they found a dead body. Nothing fancy. It was quite a nice scene seeing the small scouts persistently fishing at the teethe of the waves with their parents.

After that, went to the Adelaide Mosque, for Maghrib and off to Queenz pizza to have two family pizzas which I think were the best pizza I've ever tasted, the toppings were thick and cheesy.

And after that, went back to Maple, Tawakkal and Amza went back to their homes, a 5 minute black out occured and here I am........doing this entry..

Good night!!!1

into 2nd Week of February

Arsyad Balik

Enough Said.

And we watched a Tamil movie yesterday night with Tawakal who came lepak with us. From the movie, I concur that Tamil people have very nice moustaches and they are impervious to beatings from many people at the same time.

Before the Tamil Movie

Why Tawakal lepak at Maple. Because we went makan2 at another Afghan shop at Prosperct at Arsyad's recommendation. Very Lawashish, but better and abit expensive, but it was good food and we enjoyed ourselves. Other than the Maplians, there was panda Aswad.

West Beach

After Prospect, we went to West Beach just before sunset. Ikhwan ,Tawakal and I bathe in the cool sea water. It was a fantastic aftrenoon as there were quite a number of people at the beach to give the beach a lively mood and we also watched the sky changes color from azure blue, gradually stained yellow, orange and red as the the the sun gradually slumbers into the horizon. It was a fantastic afternoon. Will go there again later because I want to see Arsyad frollick in the sea for the first time..damn I have strange fetish since he came back....

Just Now

In a world dominated by vampires(godsend world to Twilight freaks), a vampire, in his posh car with tinted windows and cameras so that sun fearing vampires can drive in daylight, a macho looking vampire, emerged into the daylight, wearing a cool looking sunglass..and the car's computer bleeped...

Pidut: eh....computer tu cakap 'Don't be horny?'

In reality the computer bleeped 'You'be been warned' so that the macho vampire does not burn himself silly in the sun..haha.

Pidut mmg mantap!!!

1st week February

Kindle 2

I was gonna buy it.But Whispernet is not available in Malaysia, what's whispernet? In the US, the Kindle constantly hooked to Amazon so that you can buy ebooks. Outside the US, accessing whispernet is problematic because you need a US address to buy ebooks.Amazon is so dumb, Ipad is gonna kill Kindle.

Ipod 3.1

Frustrated with the Kindle. I upgraded my Ipod Touch software and downloaded Kindle. No books I wanted and started experimenting with the Ipod Touch as a replaement for the Kindle. Using a free app, I downloaded a pirated pdf of Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve(would have bought it but no Kindle version in Amazon). Reading the pdf on the Ipod Touch was OK, eye strain is expected, you can only read for 20 minutes continuously and your eyes will ache. The small Ipod Touch screen is also not helping(now I know why they put tseroids into the Ipod to create a Ipad!! It makes sense). So far so good. Will be looking forward to buy a book from Kindle,m but for now, it's pirated novels.

Switzerland

I have been yapping about his but my bro and I plan to go to Switzerland. I have to. My passport will expire next year. The cheapest fare is on Qatar Airlines.Insya-Allah jadi.Bcause this plan is bullet proof.

Adelaide Life

Do not know what to do. Just went to the city on Wednesday to settle some uni stuff and had takoyaki at sushi train.Sigh..it's gonna be a long month. Hopefully MARA will book my ticket ASAP...

Driving

One of the greatest pleasure in Adelaide is driving. I will never enjoy driving in KL as I do in Adelaide. It's so fun that yesterday I drove to Norwood in Dr.Syahril's car just to get my blue bag just for the sake of driving....aku memang dah takde life

Job Hunt

Oh..applied here and there on Jobstreet and rejected by several companies already......life goes on

Master of the city

As you may know. I have a contract delivering junk things in the city, or a part of it. Very productive as I get more money from this area. I deliver in the morning and the city is as dead in the wee of the morning as any other suburbs that you'd swear everyone's dead that I sometimes like to tickle my imaginatiosn that there are zombie around the corner...hahhaha..and it dies creep me out and give goosebumps when i imagine too much. This job is annoying but I am gonna miss it....try working like this in KL and I might end up as a crippled mute beggar somewhere begging.Yes..I am very negative about Kl yet I yearn so much to go back.....more sodomy, rape and murders in the Star as usual..that's my home...raining rocks.

Gadgets of the year

The Ipad

Just knew about it 3 days ago a day before it slaunch from "The View" and "7pm project'. Everyone was talking about it. I wa sat Norwood, folding junk mail.No internet for 2 days.

The next day it hit the news.As usual, everytime you see an Apple product, you'd want it, no matter how overhyped the specifications are.

I like the Ipad, because of its looks. Functionwise, it'd be as useless as my Ipod Touch which I purely use to hear the same 20 musics over and over again. But I like the size, it'd be ideal to read a PDF file on a A4 sized tablet/slate.Why it matters to me, because i've caught the addiction of reading downloaded PDF articles and textbooks and reading them on a laptop is annoying and eye straining.

Other problems of the Ipad
-No flash
-I probably use it to check emails and browse eventually.
-Not much different from Iphone/Ipod Touch in many ways

To me, after experience with the Ipod Touch, you should keep the cameras, phones, MP3 and MP4 separately. That'w why I still stickm to my trustworthy K800, the 1000D and the Ipod Touch. I use them one at a time. Carrying them is not problem, I have pockets on my pants and I always carry a greenbag.

The Kindle

Naturally, I'd research other alternatives to the Ipad. And I fell in love with it.

Introducing the Kindle. It has been awhile for awhile but not as glamprous as any Apple products but it works well in what it does. To let people read stuff. And I like reading.

What is it? It is an ebook. A digital book. Instead of carrying books, you buy books online from Amazon. Books costing $30 can be bought at$10 at Amazon.com which is the typical cost of a book in Malaysia($10=RM30).The facts that you could carry 1500 downloaded books with the Kindle makes me drool. Not to mention the downloaded pirated textbooks and articles you can read in PDF format.

Evaluating the Kindle I decided I want and need it. I have a camera, a MP3 player, and a phone. An ebook is an excellent addition to my collection of gadgets which I eventually stop using. If I do abandon this thing, I can always pass it to my mom, provided she knows how to use it quickly enough.

Will consider options buying this next week/month while I am still in Australia. Amazon does not ship to Malaysia due to obvious reasons, as there are sharks at our postal service and immigration departments.

Not to forget...

The Google Nexus One

What about it? An HTC cellphone with touch screen carrying the Android OS by Google. To me, just another Iphone. I prefer this though over the Iphone. But the Kindle coems first coz it's cheaper than the Ipad,Iphone and Nexus One at about AUS$300 compared to the $500++ for the others.

We'll see wheter I'd buy the Kindle or not coz I am really nervous about buying stuff ising Amazon.com and having stuff shipped from the US.Plus my OZ debit card expired yesterday, may have to get anew debit card or use the Malysia credit card Mama lend me.

January 2010

End of January coming
It's been a monts or two since I officially finished my degree. What have I been doing? Mostly browsing the internet, looking for jobs. I have applied for 41 posts at jobstreet and have summoned all the 'cables' available to my mom and dad.

Summer
Summer is not that bad. There are weeks that are insanely hot follwed but moderately comfortable temperatures.

Stuff I bought
Been straining to curb my overspending but eventually i bougt a 640GB hard disk from officeworks for $129. It was a bargain and there were selling fast(Ehsan even bought one).

Where I been
Not much.The airport mostly.

Apam balik
Talking about airport, apam went back to Malaysia last week.Hilang la satu geng, although I rarely lepak with him, but not being able to see him when i need to somehow makes me lonelier.

Syuk pun balik
Not to forget, Syukri also went back a week before Apam's. I can't believe I miss him.I do....but as a friend la......he's not my type. Miss his lectures..miss his confidence..miss his taunts..miss his scraggy beard..miss his annoying morning disturbance for morning prayers.....

Missing someone else
Oh yes...missing that person so much that it drives me crazy

Bye2 facebook
Deactivated facebook..for awhile..sick of it

Balik Malaysia
Requested MARA to buy a ticket on the 13th March. Cannot tahan already..I do not belong to Adelaide anymore..the plan for PR is dead..I wanna spend my $$ on something else..probably travel to Switzerland finally..either June of December.

Indian bashing
It is clear..the Aussies do not want migrants especially the indians and chinese and other aisans flooding their country. Everytime I talk to an Aussie they will always ask whether I'm gonna stay and they'd grin ear to ear if you say you'll go back to your god forsaken third world country..I don't wanna find out what they'll say of I say 'Yes..I am gonna stay in Australia and have lots of children!!!'

Air Asis flights to new Indian cities
Yahoo!!! Air Asia finally flying to Mumbai!!!! Now can plan my future Taj Mahal trip and it's not gonna be a honeymoon trip.

My very first summer

The temperature
Between 30-45 degrees. As for today, it was 44 degrees. Despite the killer heat, we still went out to Radio rental just to get out of the house which is virtually a very large oven.

Where am I staying
As usual at Maple. Although I am still paying the rent at Norwood till February, the house has no interent which makes it unfit for habitation. I still go there to pick up the junk mail and tidy up my stuff. I feel very depressed everything I go there. It is a very nice house though.

Graduation
The university haa not finalized the exact dates. It is really annoying. I need the dates so that my mom can book the flight tickets at the right time. But Air Asia flightb has gotten more expensive that my familiy proceeded to buy the tickets. They'll arrive at 14th April, exactly on the first day of the graduation ceremonies. Pray my ceremony is after 14th April.

Video Games
There's a Wii, a PS2 and now an Xbox 360 at Maple. What more do you need? The problem is I don't play games that much and occasionally do some Wii Sports Resort. I just bought Redsteel which is a shooter game which really optimizes the functionality of the Wiimote and Nunchuks. You can use the Wiimote to shoot a gun, slice your enemies with a katana and throw hand grenades!!! Hopefully I play more games after this. Buy I died playing Redsteel in the first scenario and I lost interest already. I really sucks at games and it is really embarrassing.

Visa
Went to DIMIA twice this week checking out the Grad Visa. DIMIA has made it almost almost impossible for foreigners to apply for grad visa. The stupid requirements just put you off and jacked the initial cost of $230 to almost $700!!!. We wanted to do a grad visa but they want a good behavior letter from Malaysia and knowing bureucracy sucks in Malaysia, we had to forget it. So, we have only one option, the tourist visa. This sucks.

Job hunting
Alreadt have a Jobstreet account. Had two rejections already. At least I know employers in Malaysia do care about my applications. I am targeting for engineering jobs in KL, Penang,Perak and Negeri Sembilan.Places I am familair with. I am hoping to get a trainee engineer position ar Klang with ARA Rail which is involved in rail tranpsort in KL. As you may know, the government is expanding the LRT and KTM service and hopefully ARA Rail will get many jobs and require fresh engineering graduates like me.

Masters
I am also exploring the options of doing Masters. Already have a degree in Aerospace engineering. I don't feel satisfied with this degree. Very few employment opportunities.I know it's my fault for choosing this course but I was yiung and naive then. Throughout the four years of studying engineering at uni, I have done alot of consideration and think and have decided that I would like to be involved in the transport and logistics engineering field. My second passion after planes are trains and Malaysia is currently expanding its public transportation system espcially the KTM rail networks and the LRT in the Klang Valley. I would like to be involved in the development of rail transportation in Malaysia, I've scouted relevant courses in UniAde and UniSA and discovered UniSA offers a Masters in Transport Engineering System. I will try to apply for a MARA loand for this Masters next week. Just an effort.

2009
I hate this year. The reasons. Lots. But I do not blame anyone.

Heartache
I really miss someone. But i think that person don't like me.LOL.

New lens
I am really hopeless in photography. I need a new lens before the passion runs out, Will try to work and earn $569 to buy a Sigma 10-20mm f4 wide angle lens for my rebel.

Finally

Graduation
It is confirmed. I am eligible to graduate. Homours? I do not care..yet. The important thing is, I am graduating. My ceremony will be in April next year. My family minus Abah and probably my Aunt from Switzerland will come Down Under. Look forward to April.

Gold Coast
Went to the Gold Coast. It was fantastic. Went to Movie World and Wet n Wild. I find Gold Coast a good family holiday place, when no schoolies are around. I have suggested my mom to go to the Gold Coast for a family holiday. I expect to go to Dreamworld and Seaworld.

Whyalla
My second Khuruj. Lots of lessons. Will cover it later.

Graduation
I am graduating!!!

One thing leads to another-Part 1

Several months ago. I have decided to stop waiting and staying at the same place. I refuse to fall into routine which I was doing all this time. Things and people always change around me, but I usually stay the same and in the end, I ended up losing many things.

Every day. I try to make it different than the day before. I try to be different. Try shaking off that herd mentality.

The first big step I took was abandoning tne glamours of Eid open houses and dedicating a whole weekend in the path of Allah. You may be surprised, I am not always a very observant Muslim, but yes, I DID STRIVED IN THE PATH OF ALLAH for a whole weekend. I did not laugh and make jokes eating mouthful of Raya morsels. But I learned many new things and see new places. I prayed alongsode Lebanese,Bangladeshi and Turks and It is surprising how different their views are on islam but we prayed together, in one saf.It was a small town, with only 2o Muslim families, yet they united and managed to erevt a house of worship for Allah In that weekend, I met more new people, Australians, eventhough they are immigrants, they are Australians nontheless, who have toiled and made their life in Australia. In the past three years, mingling with Malays only was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I failed to made any Australian freinds, their culture being too different, or is it just me, being a typical xenophobic Malay. In that weekend in the countryside, I have met Australians, Muslim they are and we have so much in common yet different in many ways, and we prayed together and exchanged stories. The old man, reminiscing his young years, after the fall of the ottoman empire, his life in Germany, as a stable hand, and his eventual immigration to the down under. His english was jumbled, but in every sentence, he gave us so much lessons from his 60 years on this Earth. The Lebanese, lamenting the lack Islamic schools, as he has the desire that his son does not become like him, Australianised, having no culture and identity. The secular Turk, who thinks Islam is too confusing and contradicting, yest he yearsn to unravel his doubtand believe in Allah. But the most amazing aspect of the weekend, was spending time with brother Hatham, the Aussie born Lebanese, who abandoned Computer Sciense for the sake of Al Hadith education in Syria. I was prejudiced. To me, people with beards usually ranting about death to Israel as such. But no, not a single word of malice was uttered of any jews. His words, were expressing the true meaning of the Koran and al-hadith and I learned and experienced much of the essence of Islam from that whole weekends. The way he shared the knowledge of Deen, his interactions with the people around him, his patience and his passion for islam, was a mercy of Allah. To all those who wondered where I went to during that weekend, I just want to say, I'd rather skip a thousand Open Houses to experience that weekend again and Insya-Allah I will join a longer trip if circumstances permit.

Despite thah weekend. I am not a perfect Muslim. I still cannot fulfill my 5 daily prayers completely on many days, I cannot get rid of my bad habits and I am nasty to some people which I sorely am ashamed of doing again and again. But i still strive for myself. I have tried to attend Isya' every night, for a lesson with Hatham, and between that, sending pamphlets and fulfilling my obligations to my Final Year Project and many many assignments. Insya-Allah, I will cope with this ever busy life and dedicate more time to Allah. Because, the world cannot cure the sickness in me. I am sick of money, I have mo desire to be rich, my family was rich before, but because of greed we fell.....I had friends, but friends come and go and we are tied together by worly affairs which do not last. Only the deen, which continuously opposes the nafsu provides me with peace and tranquility. But in the path to better myself, I know I have also hurt othe people and I sincerely regret this...I will have to find a way with Allah's guidance, to adress this.

Roleplay

It is good to be an asshole once in a while especially when no one cares.

WJL 1244

It was ugly.
It was.
It was a lie, it was not an MPV.It was a Proton.
But we invested our hopes in that little box with wheels.
Hopes for a brighter future.
With its spacious boots, my ferried thousands of Twintech college brocures, into towns, cities and even palm plantations.
The one month worth of Carrefour groceries fits easily into its back space.
It carried the small fridge to my flat at Cemara college INTEC.
With its 1.1 litre engine, the little ugly box with wheels, faithfully carried us to Ipoh, to see my beloved grandparents safely. Of course, it is so slow, so the chance of accidents is less.
It was that little ugly box with wheels, that took us to Kuala Kedah, from which we went to Langkawi or to Lumut, from which we went to Pangkor.
The ugly car could go anywhere other cars can.
But the ugly cars has no status. It is ugly.
It attracts whsipers of evil.
And my mom says.
'I have to protect my name'.
And so,on december 2006.
We left the ugly car, at a proton dealership.
For a new Waja.
The person from the shop, frowned at our ugly box with wheels.
Good riddance?

My mom wanted an MPV.It;s hard falling from ahigh place. At a time when people of her age, level of education and job. She is supposed to be driving a Honda City. But the trend in 2003, was to have MPVs and I could see then that she really liked to have an MPV..especiallt the snobby aunt of mine who snobbishly displayed her new Cheverolet MPV in front of my mom.
As usual, people who are not rich in Malaysian, turn to Proton and they gave us the ugly Juara.
It was not an MPV.But my mom fell from it.
And we became some sort of a joke too.But who cares, We've heard so much from our relatives and our neighbors that we became deaf to their taunts.
We used the ugly box with wheels, just as any car and it served us well.
We invested our hopes in it and it did not fail us.
The ugly box with wheels was with us when my siblings and I were at school when when we were together. So it was a time of youth.A time we had Rayas together, and went on family vacations, with that ugky box with wheels.
That ugly box with wheels was part our joy for almost 5 years.
When we got rid of it, I was to fly to Australia and my bro was going to college. As any family, we are splitting.Meanwhile my mom got a double promotion and her colleagues then were people who drive at least a Toyota Vios. It was if the ugly box with wheels knew, that its time was up. It will never send us to Ipoh or take us to vacations again and that my mom can never feel proud driving it ever again.
And so it left us, or we left it. Ending my colorful youth,
Wherever it is I do not know, I hope it serves its master well as it did us.
Whenever i look back, remisniscing my short youth. The ugly box with wheels, will always be apart of those years of lovely memories with my family.
Thank you for becoming part of our enjoyment..Juara WJL 1244.

Raya 2009

Air conditioning Lab
Settled.Last and only report of the semester.Did my part and shoved it to the the Masters students who were my lab mates to settle everything.

Iktikaf
Did it twice and people kept asking me 'Hijaz...buat ape kau iktikaf'. I just answer 'Kerana Allah' and 'Kalau aku dok umah wat bende bodoh and dosa je'.I enjoy iktikaf in Adelaide. I did it 2 years ago because then I can drive the magna.Last year did not have a car, Alhamdulillah, Allah decided to have me bought a car so that I can worship him more this year.Alhamdulillah.

Lailatul-Qadr
I am fascinated by lailatul-Qadr.Islam is so simple yet fulfilling. Most non-Muslim may think that we seek this night so that we can find a genie and request for 72 virgins. Lialatul-Qadr is just a special night at which Allah bestows his forgiveness.I am not sure which night was Lailatul-Qadr, probably that calm 26th night when Apam and I delivered the pamhplets.Dem.

Last Ramadan day
This year's Raamdan was the best. I may sound like a prick, but as I mentioned before, I find myself to more spiritual and calm or at least try to perform more solats.Alhamdulillah, I am sure I have done tarawikh for 26 nights, the other 3 nights I had to skip tarawikh for assignments and one night for delivering pamphlets.

Moon sighting
Went to West beach to see the new moon which means the starting of a lunar month. If there is no moon on the 29th night , then it means we have to fast on the thrteenth day, emaning Raya on Monday, which is also presentation day...that I no like. Apparently if anyone in Australia sees the new moon, then Raya is conformed on Sunday. And soemoned at Perth did.Alhamdulillah.

Night before Raya
I was invited and asked to join some friends at Maple and bake cheesecake for Raya.Though very hard and decided to join them...'lantak aku la nak pegi'. At least I'll be doing something. It was a fun night at maple, the celaning, the cooking, the baking and the chatting.Tawakkal joined us coz he lives with a bunch of chinese, so it makes snese he should join us.

1st Syawal
The plan was to go to Khaleel. But as usual, we woke up late.So ended up at City Mosque. For the Raya breakfast, no rendang, just some chicken chop, mashed taters and cheese cake with friends!!!!!

Open Houses
Village-as usual
Unley-Suzuki Virgo and tapau lots of rendang, kuih himpit and lamb.Thank Dr.Bad junior.
Kuchai's house-soo much kuih raya

Open house at Maple
Chicken chop and the food tapaued from Unley.

Car registration
Bye bye $169 and hard earned pamphlet cash.Dem SA Transport jack up the rego cost by $10.

Presentation
Done and don't wanna talk about it

Core Test on 3rd Raya
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Ramadan 2009

Fasting
I am not sure how many days of fasting I performed, it is up to Allah.

Tarawikh
I am proud to say that I have performed tarawikh almost every night. I don't know why I become evry religious...nak subuh pun struggle..but Alhamdulillah, I have put more effort into my islamic obligations. This won't last long..prbably only on Raamdhan. or maybe I am doing tarawikh just so that I can forget about this shits that is happening around the world..and around me.

Ifthar
I have not eaten iftahar at home at all this month. have been breaking fast at the mosque.Usually go with Syuk as my roomates have other commitments. I have so far spent ifthar at 3 places,
Adelaide Mosque-food are good and just eniugh so you don't get too fukk
Khalel-amazing msoque and too much food.
Islamic Da'wa Centre- mostly african muslims come and bring a plethora of food.mostly rice and lamb dishes. Been here once and I have not had so much samosa than any other places at the IDC.

Uni life
Sucks as usual.I am getting lazier.

Car
I declare I am very posessive about my car.You may borrow my pen without telling me..and I won't even mind if you don't return it..but I am really crossed if people just take my car in the middle of the morning..without telling where my car is being taken to...i don't care where yiu go..brothel..disco..worse..CATS..just tell me..because my car is not a pen. And I have every right to be mad because it is my property and I am paying alot in terms of rego and fuel for it.And yes...this shows I have a very large ego..as any men with a car does.

Project
The project seems to have slowed down abit..or it is just us being sloppy. Had a presentation at Santos, only Martin and Erwin were there including some engineer listening from Moomba. It was a good practice and I was very pleased that we presented well althoygh I was hoping a bigger audience. Martin was not pleased that the otherr managers did not come.

Junk mail
Business a usual. It is spring and it seems more shops are dumping their junk mail on me..which means more money..hehe. Kinda fed up with the job and plan to give then contracts during the mid semester break to Apam.

Raya
Raya is either on the 20th or 21st of September. I am hoping it'd be the 20th as I have a presentation the next day!!! I am not sure whether my house wanna cook something..seems all of them have their own commitments.....it's pretty sad..I mean last years..we cooked nothing....so this year I will join Syuk's house and cook up some rendang or something but I am determiend to enjoy Raya as much a spossiblethis year with the right crowd...!!!!!!No remeh temeh.

Spring Break
Plan to go drive around the Murray river, probably go to Loxton and then down through Mannum and Murray bridge. This will be a one night camping trip. The problem is when? I'd like to go during the weekend after Raya but there'd be the MASCA open house...not wanting to a lsoer..I'd like to attend that. So it be between 21st and 26th September then. This plan is bulletproof....it will not wither.

Lastly, Happy ramadan everyone and Happy Eid(soon)!!!

1st Ramadhan of 2009

Delivering pamphlets
As mentioned in the previous posts, I can't sleep after sahur and proceeded to folding teh pamphlets for delivery and started the delivery at 7am. Since I was fasting, I decided to do the delivery in a leisurely pace and walked most of the time, hence I spent almost 3 hours delivering junk mail and ended up really thirsty.

Central Market
After the junk mail job, got home.Everyone was still sleeping. It was my job to buy the chicken. Thought of asking one of my housemates to come with me to CM but since they all stil sleeping, and if they wake up it will take time for them to shit and shower and the CM will close by then. So went there alone, got 8kg of chicken for $20 which is cheap and walked around CM, trying to ignore the fragrant smell of bread and bubble tea that's gnawing on my stomach.

Nap at The Village
Naturally, since I was at the CM, I was nearer to the Village, my official second home..haha.So crashed there for Zohor, wanted to play Wii pong but felt so sleepy, I guess the thirst and fatigue from the morning junk mail job got to me and I slept till 4pm.

Al-Khalel Mosque
The plan today was to break the fast at Khalel with my housemates.Hussen has some dinner with AMBC and Nik had a fast breaking date. So only Lutfi came with me. So roped in Apam and Syuk along with me to Khalel. It seems almost all Malaysian students were there tonight, but only five stayed behid for tarawikh. The food was awesome as usual, the salad thingy was refreshing and the lamb dish was perfect not to mention the fragrant rice sprinkled with olive oil.One serving was enough for me although there were plenty for seconds. Some sheikh says they will provide more food tomorrow and asked us to come...but Khalel is kinda far away and I'll exhaust this week's fuel supply if I go tomorrow. I'll have to pass..it'd be the City Mosque tomorrow.

Moreh
Sent Lutfi home and wnt to teh Village with Syuk to pick up my laptop and the chicken bought earlier. Had a lot of talk while eating vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookies but nature of our topics which will be kept to ourselves due to the seriousness of the discussion. But it was a good chat to close the firts night of Ramadhan of 2009.

This night will dissolve into another memory.

Welcome Back Ramadhan.

Again

Currently
Yup, in a few minutes, I will start fasting in Adelaide for the fourth year. I can't sleep, despite working working out a the gym from 3.30-5.30mpm.....but I feel very refreshed. After too much noise and lights being switched on and off( my fault for sleeping in the living room..dunno why..feel like sleeping there)..i decided to have an early sahur, fold the brochures for delivery in a few hours, wait for subuh(finally) and watch some anime( and write this entry!!!).

The only exciting thing that occurred to me this week is this e-mail
Hi gang,

I've finished going over the draft you gave me (Martin, it's the copy the guys would have emailed you with).

You've done a really great job; this version is worlds ahead of the last version. It reads well, it shows coherent thought and good depth of information presented. Of course, it still needs to fill in some areas, but if you write it at the same level that you've written the rest of the report, it should attract a good score.

One area that I didn't pay close attention was the wear component design; I trust Martin would be able to give better feedback on the technical content.

Come harrass me sometime to give you back the marked copy.

Erk

After all thos sarcasm and jabbing statements he make continuously everytime we're working in the lab, Erwin finally gave us some praises..hooray!!.But I am still sceptical about his feedback, he did say our prelim was OK but he gave us bad marks anyway....so still need to be careful.

Final Year Presentation
And another exciting thing is I AM GOING TO HAVE MY FINAL PROJECT PRESENTATION ON RAYA!!! AT 130PM IN SOME GOD FORSAKEN ROOM IN ENGINEERING SOUTH!...WHAT A RAYA I'LL HAVE THIS YEAR!!!.

Something to lookf forward to
Our Gold Coast trip has managed to gather a gaggle of final year losers and a couple of lost first and third years who are so lame that they've never been to the Gold Coast while other juniors have been there like 2 years ago!!! It does not matter...we have booked 2 awesome apartments in front of Miami beach(yeah each of us are gonna have a bed to our own..no shitty backpackers or cramming 12 people into an aprtment)....so WE WILL PROBABLY BE THE ONLY GUYS AMONG ADELAIDE'S MALAYSIANS TO HAVE A PROPER GOLD COAST HOLIDAY..YEAH!!!....NO 'BUDGET BUDGET'..IT'S AN ALL OUT HOLIDAYS SINCE MOST OF US ARE GRADUATING..YEAH!!!..WE'RE GONNA ENJOY OURSELVES!!!

Gym
Met Mat from Gepp Cross at the gym today.....and some other guy I dunno. His first day at the gym. So invited him9and the other guy) to do workout on Wednesdays and probably Friday during Ramadhan...we both believe we can shed 10kg in 4 weeks..banzai!!!!Will be looking forward to it.

Assignments
Naturally for any engineering students, it's piling up. Did some stupid law essay yesterday with Neo, Tawakal,Apam,Acap, and Alif at CATS. Didn't like it but since it's not mathematical or need MATLAB, I'd prefer the essay anytime over the MATLAB assignment for Advanced Topic for Aerospace Engineering.Wrote a proper answer to the first Law Assignment question and seems I was probably the only only one in my group to actually di anything that Marius(my group mate) says he loves me...ewww. hope they give a really good peer review for my stuff...heh.

Into Week 3 of my last semester.

Last week, while delivering pamphlets, I was barked at by a f****** dog and then some f****** bogans began to shout Asian insults at me. This job getting on my nerve. But I like it because I work alone and Salmat pays me on time...no need to have some assholes shouting orders at me or have my pay delayed until the end of the year.So far I have made $350 delivering pamhlets for 4 weeks which is not bad and I enjoy the 'physical rewards' walking/cycling around Norwood or running away from Bogans.

Last week too I picked up Faris and Syitah along with the laptop Abah bought me.When I opened the laptop, it was a CQ40 Compaq with the label Intel Pentium. I thought my Abah bought a Celeron laptop but apparently the system information indicated that my laptop uses a Intel Dual-Core T4200, which is the same as the Core 2 Duo except with 1MB L2 Cache instead of 2MB.It is a good laptop and I am grateful for it. Another stuff to pawn off If I run out of of money..hehe.Based on the price tag I can get 700-$800 and the specs are certainly better than the junk at Harvey Norman.

I also started going to the gym. I did not register with the gym. I used Besut's card because he is now too busy to go the gym...hehe.Been to the gym 5 times already and enjoyed every second of it.I've been working out at nights after which I would do some work at CATS and then proceed to the Village for a shower and some Wii therapy. The Wii is certainly addictive and it's good I put it there if not I will not leave the house.

Suraya, Arip Robotik and Lebau graduated last week. Saw Suraya and Arip and as usual Lebau disappeared to some unearthly dimension. It was really good to see your friends make it through.Pilfered the cakes at the grad ceremony tea party, met Erwin there , snapped lots of pics and see Suraya leave Adelaide from the Equinox room as she and her family proceed to pick up a rented car and drive to Melbourne immediately.Gilo.Meanwhile, Arip was also with his family, they are all like him, quiet...hehe.He'll be back this comong Monday before he returns to KL on Thursday for good.As for Labu, sent him off yesterday. Finally met him.

As for me, currently I am very lazy. The final project is going on as usual. I am so busy that I feel being busy is normal or is it because I have not received much assignments yet. Whatever it is, I look forward to finishing my degree at the end of the year. Beruang has invited me to go to the Gold Coast and we are now attempting to gather about 5-6 people to share an apratmrnt for 4-5 nights in the Gold Coast after the exams on November.I will look forward to that too..after that..I will join the cruel society in search of jobs and money. Life is pretty straight forward after all.
